Having been to Alaska a dozen times since 1996 I am fully aware of fishing experiences, accommodations, food quality and service and overall quality of trip. Dove Island Lodge provides over the top quality on all fronts. Premium accommodations, a fully stocked bar, cheerful and responsive staff and excellent dining. The fishing guides, fishing experience and success is easily among the best. I've fished Cordova, Juneau, Anchorage, Soldotna, Homer, Sitka, the Kenia River, Orca Bay and more. The guides, the boats and the fishing is simply the best. We also did a fly-in on the owner's float plane for easily the best fly fishing we've ever done PERIOD. And, at the end of the day after catching plenty of fish we pull up to the dock at Dove Island and the first thing we see are the bar maids coming to greet us with hot moist towels and our favorite cocktails!! Seriously- we wipe our hands and face, step off to a delicious cocktail (of course they know what we drink) and head up to the lodge..maybe change into trunks for a sauna. All the while their process folks are cleaning, fileting and packaging our day's catch for us. Easily the best Alaskan Fishing Adventure money can buy anywhere!. Speaking of money, their prices look the same as when we went in 2015.. how do they DO THAT? SO WE ARE GOING AGAIN this year. Just spoke to Nicole, what a sweetheart. While they are book months out, they will always try to squeeze you in somewhere. Best advise- reserve your adventure NOW for next season. Halibut, King Salmon, Silver Salmon, Lincoln or Sockeyes... you'll catch it all at Dove Island Lodge.. then return to 5-star dining. Did I mention they pluck their chefs from top rated casinos in Las Vegas and the best restaurants in Scottsdale. No shortcuts here, just top shelf quality and service. Duane and Stacy go the extra mile to make your Alaska Adventure the trip of a lifetime.

My husband and I had the privilege of staying here for a few days during our honeymoon. The service was great and the Chef was amazing! We stayed in the Lodge and loved every moment! From the fantastic decor to the balcony hot tub, every detail was perfect! We came early in the season and were one of the first groups and the experience was first class from the time we were whisked away from the airport right to when we were heading home. We only wished we could have stayed longer!

Great service. Excellent cuisine, good fishing. They offer flyout tours in their own otter. Most complete resort lodge I have seen/visited.

This lodge is everything it advertises and more. When you stay here you are treated just like family. The service from the pick up at the airport by Nicole to girls who meet and greet you every time you come back from your fishing trips, to the bartender Jeff and of course the amazing food that the chefs provide is all amazing. The accommodations are also 5 star. If you visit this lodge and aren't happy then you are crazy!!!! I would recommend this place to anyone and will definitely be back. Thank you for a wonderful trip.

Dove Island Lodge did not disappoint! Our corporate team made the trip this past season and we were amazed with the service and quality of the experience. This is a tough time to travel and Nicole and the team handled logistics incredibly well. The lodge was incredibly responsive to our team. The accommodations were fantastic. The views were out of this world. The staff were incredible. The food was amazing. The owners were awesome. And of course-The fishing (and guides) were top-notch. I would highly recommend Dove to anyone!

Extraordinary owners who are passionate about a great experience and attentiveness to detail. I took all my kids and grandkids with me. The fishing was fantastic, Nicole was amazing in finding great things for kids and grandkids to do who were not fishing. Evening meals prepared by talented chefs and an amazing wine list which we thoroughly enjoyed. Professional staff all around. We will. E regulars!

So extremely happy with how well the Dove Lodge staff took care of us on this one in a lifetime experience. You receive a fabulous five course meal freshly cooked from two on staff chefs they are on the island, and fresh breakfast every morning you’re there. The bartenders even asked if they were special ingredients or alcohol they could go get into town to make sure all the guests at our wedding had everything they wanted for a drink orders. The fire wood sauna was one of my favorite amenities!!! I definitely recommend getting a cabin for at least three nights as you’re going to wanna experience an evening where you can just sit out on the deck look at the beautiful ocean view and soak in the hot tub they provide at every cabin I hope the pictures do some justice to just how well this has been artistically crafted!! Thousands and thousands of pounds of pink Himalayan salt fill the meditation room, where they offer yoga classes, Massage and facials!! I would not have wanted to have my wedding anywhere else, it’s breathtaking views five star service and you’ll not find anything else like this in Alaska!

My wife and I just returned from a stay at Dove Island Lodge. It was amazing! From the pick up at the airport to the drop off nothing happened but super service from the staff. My wife has mobility issues but the staff took perfect care of her and she never felt like she was a bother. The 5 star meals were more than you can imagine with two chefs. Breakfast is made to order, lunches for your excursions are ready for you to prepare and snacks are ready on the deck before dinner. After dinner there is a slide show showing pictures from the day’s activities which included a great deal of laughter. Another great feature of the lodge is that the staff knows your name by the first evening, amazing. There are not many reviews of this outstanding lodge probably because people want it to themselves so if you would like to visit, better make your plans early as they tend to fill up quickly.
